Spring 2013 Trend Predictions

  • "Cool Girl" shorts/loose "Bermuda" shorts: This was quite the trend in the past, now being brought back in a much different way. The loose carefree look is bound to become very hot amongst buyers
Peter Som, Rag & Bone, DKNY
  • Sunnies/Bold Sunglasses: I LOVE THIS TREND! These statement glasses are cute! They're fun and playful but also so chic. This will also be easy for stores like Forever21 to replicate designers for a much cheaper priceAnna Sui, 3.1 Phillip Lim, Diane von Furstenberg
  • Beaded Details: These details somewhat remind me of Bollywood and the sari's that the women wear. I like the colors aswell as how intricate the beads make the garments look.
Oscar de la Renta, Altuzarra, Marchesa
  • Low Kitten Heels: I actually am not a fan of this trend, but I have already seen it in multiple stores and some females do enjoy the lower heel. I think if I'm going to wear a heeled shoe I'm going to go all or nothing, not half way. These kind of remind me of my grandma's shoes.

My Make-up Regime (Quick Morning 3 steps)

Having to wake up at 6 am is hard enough, but trying to look good is even harder. I've managed to cut my make up routine into three super quick steps that give me healthy skin and a casual yet put together look that works perfectly for the days I'm in a rush to get to class.

1. Wash face with St.Ives Apricot scrub (exfoliance) and pat dry with a cotton towel finishing off with Lancome Aquafusion moisturizer. Both of these really make skin feel soft and clean.

2. Use lancome dual finish powder and subtil rose blush, this lightly covers blemishes and evens out skintone without the harsh unneccasary use of concealer, cover-up, and foundation.

3. For eyes I usually do a light smokey eye with an Urban Decay NAKED pallete, and for super long lashes use Lancome Oscillation Mascara.

A$AP ROCKY FASHION INSPIRATION

  • Gold Chain

  • Round glasses

  • Grills

  • Army Print

i love all of these trends so much, A$AP featured most of these looks in his music videos and during performances. His music is very much like his fashion sense, its very unique with a lot of street and hip hop influences. He brought back many old trends, aswell as music styles on his new album LIVE LOVE A$AP.

Top 3 Wedding Trends for 2013

1. Foil Stamped Wedding Invitations: Varying in colors from Silver, Bronze, and Gold and different fonts/designs, we're seeing alot more foil stamping on textured paper being used for a classic looking wedding invitation.

2. Peony: The most requested wedding flower for the past two years has changed from Roses and Lillies to the lush Peony. But due to the fact that they're only in bloom for two months out of the year, we're finding that brides need to have a back-up flower in case of shortage.

3. Lace: Wedding dresses are going to be featuring lots of lace this year! Trends like scallops, lace layers, and intricate beading have always been prevelent but this year lace is extremely expected. It looks gorgeous on many dresses designed by Ann Taylor, Justin Alexander, Tara Keely, and many more.
