All 90's kids know Amanda Bynes from All That, and the Amanda Show, and What I Like About You, but lately the Nickelodeon starlet has been COMPLETELY unrecognizable. She traded her All-American look for an "edgier" new image, which features two dimple piercings, a shaved head, and a new weight of 120 lbs. She not only has been changing her image, but behaving very much so out of character posting innapropriate tweets to other celebrities such as Drake but also posting strange videos, half naked twitpics, and demonstrating strange behavior through out NYC.
Bynes has claimed that she is completely fine and working on a new fragrance and fashion line. But also, due to her strange new behavior Bynes has gained over 1 million followers on twitter, which is why I believe this is one large publicity stunt. Since the actress recieved her DUI and retired in her career she gravely lost popularity, and I believe she simply wanted attention the way she recieved it as a teenager.

Blackmilk
www.blackmilk.com has been selling their products on their website for the past 4 years, but recently the sales of their leggings and bodysuits has become extremely popular. Their designs are extremely unique and fun, featuring cool designs like candy, galaxies, movie characters, and other brands. From a personal view point, I can say that the material used by blackmilk is of very high quality and the fabric never loses color or elasticity after washes.
But, the starting price for their signature leggings is $75.00, which is extremely high for their target market of young adult females. However, their clothing is extremely trendy and high quality, Blackmilk is a newer brand and rather overpriced. Their brand isn't like Michael Kors or Gucci, where its a household known brand, whom target consumers with a higher income.
But regardless of the price, people continue to purchase products from Blackmilk.com and popularize their designs.

Beyonce...Pregnant again?
Rumors have been going around that Beyonce has claimed that Blue Ivy wants another kid to be able to play with, is this her way of hinting that baby #2 is on the way? This past week Beyonce was seen at the Met Gala in a highwaisted gown that completely camoflouged her midsection, and perhaps her baby bump?
Having just started her Mrs.Carter tour, she has no reports of morning sickness, dehydration, or exhaustion. But she has postponed a show in Europe once already, but has reported that she wants to finish her tour smoothly and give her fans her all.

Best Ink
So Oxygen network recently aired season 2 of Best Ink, which is a show formatted similarly to Top Chef and Project Runway but with tattooing. Best Ink is currently the only show I watch (I don't really like television) and I'm extremely fond the show. It features a flash challenge, which i s a short designing challenge such as designing a sneaker for Pastry, and designing a fender guitar. After the flash challenge, the show features an Ink Challenge, where the tattooers have to create a certain tattoo for their client and then their work is judged by tattoo hall-of-famers such as Joe Capobianco and Sabina Kelley.
I hope that Brittany wins this season, she is a rocker from Texas who specializes in classic tattooing. Classic tattooing features bold colors and strong line work.

Maxi Skirts
I personally really like this trend because you can wear it with a simple shirt and belt while looking totally put together and trendy (as seen above) without having to spend alot of money or time on your outfit. I hope to add a few new maxi skirts to my wardrobe this season.
How Animals Eat Their Food (Funny Vid)
So this video "How Animals Eat Their Food" GEEKS ME. it really isn't anything special but its just really funny because the guys don't laugh at all and keep a serious face throughout the whole video. The main guy looks so dumb jumping around the table and everything, its just hilairious in a childish way. Surprisingly, it went viral and in about a week it got 40 million views!

Outfit Collages for Moonrise Music Festival 2013
Moonrise 2013 is an outdoor daytime music festival/rave featuring EDM and dubstep artists, and I've been looking forward to it ALL year. Its two days long and yesterday I finally put together the perfect outfits for both days. I bought most of the items in my collage from Forever 21, Etsy, and Blackmilk.

Blogging Lessons!
3 Lessons I’ve learned
From Blogging
Well after blogging
in our marketing class for about 4 or 5 months we’ve learned a lot of reasons
that blogging has become more relevant in the business market as well as
personal. I already had a blog on tumblr but it was very informal and didn’t
have a true purpose. But the blogs we’re doing in this class all have a focal
point and general topic for the posts we share. Of course this blog is only for
a class project, the purpose behind it is a much more important lesson than a
grade.
Lesson #1: Whats
the Point?
Every blog, article,
ect. has to have a point to it, nobody wants to read pages of information
without a rationale. Therefore if I want to write my own articles about how to
make a dress on a website, they have to contain the information that people are
looking for such as sewing tips, fabrics, and so on. This idea also relates to
having a focal point, or generalizing what your webpage is about. Without this
clarity, people may not want to revisit your page or recommend it to their
friends, and that’s very important when it comes to networking.
Lesson #2: Know
about what You’re Writing
I learned this
slightly the hard way. My blog was about fashion, which is a general topic. So
I wrote about all sorts of fashion, but this was proven to be slightly
difficult because I don’t know everything about every aspect of the fashion
world. I understand the summery, vintage, diy, side of fashion whereas the
couture world was much more new to me to analyze and comment about. But of
course when writing about a broad topic you may run into topics you’re not as
familiar with, so in that case you read about the subject and find new information.
It may seem like more work to do, but your article/blog post will the issue.
Lesson #3: Blogging
is Business
So before this project
I thought blogging was simply a hobby that many people enjoyed as a way of
expression, but after taking notes on blogging and having to construct my own
blog I’ve realized a blog is a great way of networking, promoting businesses,
and starting your own entrepreneurship. Many companies have their own blogs and
employees who blog about the current events regarding the company and its
updates. Therefore, this project taught us a huge skill that we can put on resumes
when applying to jobs and it can also open many doors for us in certain job
fields.

Firefly Festival 2013
Firefly Festival this year is going to be mainly focusing on
music, food, and the festival marketplace, where people sell their own DIY
products.
Most Festival goers travel from miles away, and stay on the
woodland camp grounds with other groups of friends. I will most definitely be
attending with a whole car of my friends, and I plan on doing a lot of shopping
at the Festival market. From reading other blogs I can infer that this market
is a great place to buy organically made clothes, lots of beading and hemp
jewelry, and hand dyed items.
Tickets for Firefly range from $250-$400 depending on what
package you’re interested in buying, the more expensive VIP packages include
lodging, special passes, and food wristbands. Firefly 2013 will be one of the
most fun modern-day hippie concerts this year.
Pandora Jewelry: The Latest Collection :)
Pandora Jewelry is extremely well known for their custom charm bracelets, and recently they have released a new line of charms. Most of the new ones are very cute and girly, like the ones below. The prices on these new pieces range from $40-$180 and include details such as crystals, engraving, and beads.

Preppy Spring Menswear
With Spring right around the corner, I know exactly which trends I'll be looking out for that I want in my closet. And I'm sure other girls know exactly what they want to be wearing aswell. But I know what I want my boyfriend to be wearing too! In the upcoming months I'm hoping to see him (Aswell as other men/boys) sporting a preppier, more mature look for the warmer season. Trends I want to see in menswear include
-Sperrys/Loafers
-Pastels

-Collared Shirts
-Blazers
-Sweater Vests
Below are some pictures of how I'd like to see more guys dress this Spring

Miley Cyrus Edgy Haircut
When the pop icon, Miley Cyrus chopped off her brunette locks and opted for a much edgier platinum blonde pixie cut she recieved A LOT of feedback from her fans, other celebrities, tabloids, and bloggers. Not everyone supported her decision to cut off her volumous curls, and many people were very nasty. But Miley explained that she had never felt more free until she cut her hair. Personally, i love Miley's new blonde hairdo.

DIY Vintage High Waisted Shorts
I actually have had such a hard time trying to figure out which technique works the best when making this look using old jeans. I've tried many different ways but none have looked really perfect yet, but this video seems pretty easy to follow and i definitely plan to try it out in the near future.

Grammy Trend Predictions
The 2013 Grammy's were full of amazing performances, talented celebrities, and endless fashion trends. Here I'm highlighting my Top 5 predictions for trends that will be big this Spring 2013, in no perticular order.
1. Cut-Outs: Katy Perry's mint green dress would be considerably modest if it wasn't for the huge cut-out over her chest LOL. Now although some may consider this revealing dress scandalous, I think its a good way for her to embrace what a nice body she has! GOOD FOR HER. I've seen this trend becoming more relevant at stores like Forever 21, Express, and Urban Outfitters. I see it becoming big in spring time, because its becoming warmer but its not hot yet, so it fits the weather. And its almost a transition into shedding the layers for summer time.

2. Slits: I AM 100% positive that this is going to be a big trend this spring!! I've already seen this trend all over the place, its been featured in Seventeen magazine already and in several urban stores. J-Lo's legs look amazing in this assymetrical dress, but I've seen these slits more in maxi skirts. I like this trend for Spring because its breezy and flowy, and could dress up any simple shirt and sandals.

3. Red: I love this dress on Rihanna just because it seriously makes her look like a princess or some kind of royalty. She usually does something edgy/kind of out there, but its good to see her looking elegant and PRETTY. I predict this color being big this Spring because its so bright and exciting, it could really make somebody's features pop. On a side note, her red lipstick coordinates really well with her dress, i see that being another trend. To me, Rihanna was the best dressed at the Grammy's this year.

4. Black & White: I've always loved black and white just because they're such simple colors that you can match with anything, for any event, during any season. But not everyone looks at it this way, so I hope that this trend becomes much more prevelant this Spring. Especially since Beyonce is wearing it! Everybody loves her, and knows how fierce she is. She looks gorgeous here in her jumpsuit, she also wore black during her Super Bowl performance a few weeks ago.

5. Lace: This trend isn't really new, it was pretty in last summer/spring but it seemed to fade out this fall/winter. I see it coming back much bigger this Spring, especially since people are still embracing the vintage look. I'm not a fan of Taylor Swift, but I love her white lacey dress! It was the perfect length and I love the long sleeves. Her hair and complection look great, I think she looked awesome.

And below, I've included a video of the BEST and WORST dressed! The video allows you to view in more detail how some garments looked during the show.

Spring 2013 Trend Predictions
- "Cool Girl" shorts/loose "Bermuda" shorts: This was quite the trend in the past, now being brought back in a much different way. The loose carefree look is bound to become very hot amongst buyers

- Sunnies/Bold Sunglasses: I LOVE THIS TREND! These statement glasses are cute! They're fun and playful but also so chic. This will also be easy for stores like Forever21 to replicate designers for a much cheaper price
- Beaded Details: These details somewhat remind me of Bollywood and the sari's that the women wear. I like the colors aswell as how intricate the beads make the garments look.

- Low Kitten Heels: I actually am not a fan of this trend, but I have already seen it in multiple stores and some females do enjoy the lower heel. I think if I'm going to wear a heeled shoe I'm going to go all or nothing, not half way. These kind of remind me of my grandma's shoes.
